Waste management

The waste management industry is central to delivering the necessary changes in the way we manage waste, protecting the environment and safeguarding human health.

K&M McLoughlin have held a waste licence certificate since 2005 and operated under the government guidelines to regulate waste management activities including the transport, treatment and disposal of wastes.

We have recently invested in an Envirowash System which will further improve in reducing the amount of waste produced that will end up on landfill.

We have 2 National Construction CITB fully trained operatives to carry out site waste management plans
(SWMPs) are an important tool for improving environmental performance, meeting regulatory controls (in England) and reducing the rising costs of disposing of construction waste.

By adopting a good practice approach to implementing SWMPs we can improve performance and environmental benefits while also demonstrating compliance, where applicable.

The role of the fully trained waste management operative, is organising and supervising waste segregation for recycling, planned sequential removal of different materials, allocating staff time to clean up segregated materials and careful control of skip movements proves crucial to the successful outcome of any of projects on site.

We are members of the following bodies for current up to date advice.
